The MLG All-Star Classic, presented by Road Runner High Speed Online, is set to make its return once again this year, as some of your favorite pro players will team up to determine this year’s All-Star Classic Champion. Pro Players from all three Pro Circuit games will be divided up, based on their hometowns, into two teams: the East All-Stars, and the West All-Stars. You, the fans, will decide which players make up each team, so be sure to vote for your favorites! Voting closes on Friday, November 14th at 5 p.m. ET.

MLG Dallas – Biggest yet

Every MLG event keeps getting bigger and bigger.  Well, so does the online viewing audience. The numbers for MLG Dallas, the 2008 Playoffs were the biggest yet.   MLG Dallas saw an increase of 38% over the regular season ratings and  had a larger audience in the “Male 12-34″ demographic than almost all traditional male and youth-focused cable networks and many major cable sporting events.

Str8 Rippin makes a surprising change

In a very surprising move Str8 Rippin has made a coaching change.  The will now be coached by Ace.  Ace is Elamite Warrior’s younger brother.  Ace does have some coaching experience.  He was a coach in Halo 2 before he became a Pro Halo 3 player.  Interesting move for straight to make coming into the National Championships we’ll see how it pans out. in a month or so.

Top 8 Teams – Pre-Vegas Rundown – Part 1

The top eight teams will play for the National Championship at “the Joint” in the Hard Rock hotel in Las Vegas for the top prize of $100,000 in cash.  They will battle it out November 21-23 in a winner take all tournaments that will be broadcast live at www.MLGPRO.com.  Each team has it’s challenges to overcome, but a few are definitely the favorites entering the competition.

From the openings rounds in Dallas you could sense the urgency of the teams.  You could see that the one thing on everyone’s mind was the last and final spot for the National Championships.  You had many different themes in these rounds.  From the young and upcoming , to the experienced and rebuilding, you ven had former top pro’s coming out of retirement because they missed the competition.
